Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017
This year the Edinburgh Fringe Festival runs from 4th to 28th August 2017, and yes it is the BIGGEST celebration of arts and culture on the PLANET!!!
From big names in the world of entertainment to unknown artists who are just starting out and looking to find their feet – the festival caters for them all. Obviously we are most interested in COMEDY.
So what happened last year? 2016 produced 3,269 shows in 294 venues!
During Stephen Bailey’s show a man proposed to his girlfriend! The Barry Awards named Mat Ewins Best Show, Lolly Adefope as Best Performer and Best Person went to Bob Slayer. The Edinburgh Comedy Awards went to; Richard Gadd with Best Show and Scott Gibson as Best Newcomer.
Let’s hope all goes well for all this year’s participants – whether established or new.
