Jimmy Furre’s Comedy Night at Seven Dials Club
Friday 24th March 2017 was the first night of Jimmy Furre’s Comedy Night and what an event! Hidden away within Covent Garden lies an intimate venue, the Seven Dials Club, where a number of London’s newest comedians were unleashed.
There is a natural uncertainty that is felt when attending a stand-up show made up of new acts – however these reservations were quickly put to bed with Furre’s opening set. MC’d by Kashif James, the acts that followed left the audience in continuous laughter. It truly was a privilege to be one of the first to watch the upcoming comedians with a lot of potential.
Some of the highlights of the show included Chris Pike’s man-hating dilemma, Jenny Kassner’s Ultimate McDonald’s Test and Scott Barnett’s Blob Fish Homage. The evening was closed by the outrageous Daniel Wye who left the audience in stitches over his love life and family relations. All the comedians who performed were professional and confident; you couldn’t guess that they were new to the stand-up comedy world.
Members of the Radio Ha-Ha! Team go to a variety of comedy events, scouting shows that will be promoted and broadcast online.
Jimmy Furre’s Comedy Night will return on Friday 21st April, and Radio Ha-Ha! will be present to record and later broadcast the show!
