We all have dreams of making it big; having everyone know your name, because you’re the one who made the world laugh – and tonight for Jack Tucker, that dream became a reality.

The character, Jack Tucker, looks like your textbook ‘diamond in the rough.’ He’s dishevelled and hapless, with both his life and set seeming to be fall apart right before our eyes. At the same time, there’s also a distinct charisma that stops you from looking away. Perhaps it’s the hoarse New York accent, oversized suit that’s never seen an ironing board, or collection of absurd jokes? Whatever it is, we knew from the offset that the show was going to be a trainwreck; and what a glorious trainwreck it was!

Performed by Comedian Zach Zucker, this type of character comedy, primarily revolving around clowning and slapstick, can sometimes make it difficult to attract a crowd. However, watching his show has made it very clear to see why he’s been selling out in Adelaide and Melbourne.

After one of the most riduculous hours ever, you leave the theatre buzzed, light-headed and jaw dropped. Zucker demonstrates the beauty of perfectly timed, but unexpected sound cues; paired with quality improvisation, and insanely high levels of energy – that I honestly didn’t think one person could possess. Whether he’s congratulating himself on his performance, or flirting with the crowd, whilst simultaneously reminding people he’s married; this show is ludicrous, yet completely compelling and brilliant!

Don’t go in expecting anything serious. In fact, don’t go in expecting anything at all; as the entire show could change direction as quickly as one random sound cue. Instead, leave all your inhibitions at the door, and have a wild time with this American clown.

Hailing from the Big Apple, Jack Tucker looks like a diamond in the rough with a hoarse New York accent, an oversized suit that’s never seen an ironing board, and a collection of absurd jokes. After one of the most ridiculous hours ever, you leave the theatre buzzed, light-headed and jaw dropped. Flirting with the crowd whilst simultaneously reminding people he’s married; this show is both ridiculous and amazing.

Don’t go in expecting anything serious, instead embrace the silly the moment you walk through the door and get ready to have a wild time with this American clown.

Join Jack Tucker at Underbelly Cowgate (Belly Button), every day (except the 14th), at 9:20PM. Get you tickets here: https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/jack-tucker-comedy-stand-up-hour
